The UK's Number 1 Life Size Metal Animal Sculptures

OK, SO WHY JUAKALI?

Well, lots of reasons, but most importantly because...
All of our meal sculptures are 100% made by hand in Africa. They are also painted and polished by hand, then shipped as a whole sculpture (not in pieces which you have to re construct) over to the UK. Our workshop is situated in Nairobi and our office overlooks the Nairobi national park meaning the artists can watch the animals in their natural environment before they start work on a new sculpture.
There are no middle men. Its our workshop, staffed by ourselves, we ship all of the sculptures and distribute them here in the UK. This means the artists get the full money for each piece they produce.

Our sculptures are stunning, many are unique and they look beautiful in your home or garden.

Award Winning Design

We have won RHS Gold medals at both Chelsea and Gardeners World Live Flower shows with gardens featuring our magnificent metal animal sculptures.

Recycled Metal

Our metal sculptures are produced using new sheet steel as well as recycled metal such as car doors, oil drums and bus parts.

Stone

Our stone sculptures are hand carved, polished and finished in Zimbabwe, various types of Serpentine stone are used, most being suitable both indoors and out. Spring stone being one of the best for outdoors.

Wood

The wood used in most of our sculptures is plantation grown Jacaranda and Eucalyptus in Kenya. The wood is commercially produced giving an income to local farmers and having a very low impact on the natural environment.

  • RHS Gold Medal Award Winner

At the BBC gardeners world live show, together with Birmingham City Council we built the Akamba Migration Garden. After visiting and working in Kenya for over twenty years we noticed that year after year the annual Wildebeest migration to the Nairobi National Park was becoming smaller and smaller until around 1999 when it pratically stopped coming altogether. After doing much local research we realised that a township called Kitengela was growing so fast it was preventing the migrating Wildebeest from reaching the plains beyond. In our garden we hoped to highlight this problem by using lifesized metal sculptures of the animals, sculpted by the world famous Kenyan artist Kioko Mwitiki. Aswell as the Sculptures the garden was packed with plants both native and naturalised in the Nairobi area, a small hut to represent Kitengela and various crop plants such as Tomatoes, Bananas and Pineapples.

Amazing Art - Straight From Africa

Juakali sculptures has without doubt one of the the best range of African art available in the UK. Many of our African metal sculptures are unique to us.

Produced in our own studios in Nairobi, our artists come up with new designs every year for both the home and garden. Our materials are sustainable sourced where possible and our artists and local managers receive an above average local wage.

We work with most mediums in Africa, Metal and wood come mainly from Kenya, we also work with metal and stone in Zimbabwe, Our artists are happy and content.

They produce fantastic art making us happy and content, we sell our art as cheaply as possible, making you happy and content ...

WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS HAVE TO SAY

We love our family of Giraffes. We bought the first one in 2005, we got him a wife that same year and have just kept adding to the "jungle family" every year. They look great in the garden and are the envy of all our neighbours. Thank you very much, your art makes us smile every day. x
